Come and greet him

This December Beautiful Creatures Theatre brings a spectacular new outdoor show to Reading town centre. On a busy bustling Saturday just before Christmas when the streets are full of shoppers, a huge 6metre high giant will wander, lost and alone, looking for a place to call home. Who will welcome him? What community will give him shelter?

The Winter Giant tells the story of anyone who has ever been lost and looking for shelter. The story speaks of our common humanity, of the importance of welcoming people, and of the desire amongst all humans to live in a safe and warm community. As the puppet, travels through Broad Street he will meet a series of ‘buskers’, made up of some of Reading’s finest musicians who will accompany the action.

Performance begins on Queen’s Walk at 5pm (between Broad Street Mall and Penta Hotel) and finishes by The Town Hall at 6pm.

This is a free event that is suitable for the whole family
